Principal Responsibilities:

Job Overview:

Under the supervision of the Aquatics Director and Assistant Aquatics Director, the Lifeguard is primarily responsible to ensure safety through vigilance and prevent drownings. The Lifeguard is secondarily responsible for performing routine chemical checks, helping to assist set up of swim areas, and basic routine cleaning in and around the pool.

Salary: $20 per hour


This is a part-time, in-person role, with occasional evenings and holidays throughout the year.


Shift times: Sunday 6:45am to 9:45am; Monday 5:15am to 8:15am; Friday 5:15am to 8:15am

The Riverdale Y is a 50,000 sq. ft. Jewish Community Center that provides educational, recreational, cultural, and wellness programming for children and adults of all ages.
