J Early Childhood teaching staff has the educational qualifications, knowledge, and professional commitment necessary to promote children's learning and development and to support families' diverse needs and interests. As Lead Teacher, you will develop, implement, and evaluate the preschool curriculum, and be responsible for providing a quality educational program that reflects the goals and values of J Early Childhood.
As a Lead Teacher you will use your knowledge of child development, curriculum, Judaism, and/or the community to help your colleagues in their development. Lead Teachers are responsible for monitoring the development and learning of the children, and for communicating this information to parents and Director. Lead Teachers also supervise and provide guidance to classroom volunteers.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to move from standing to crouching to sitting on the floor and back to standing. Physical stamina required to bend, stand, lift up to 40 pounds, work with children on the floor, work outdoors in a variety of temperatures, and mobility to ensure the supervision and safety of children. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
