We are looking for positive role models who enjoy the outdoors and creating daily programming for children ages 8-16. This will include facilitating the Low Ropes (challenge course), and High Ropes activities/elements for all campers on a rotating schedule, as well as maintaining all High Ropes, Low Ropes, Climbing Tower, and Bouldering elements. Additional duties may include leading a class in Nature Education.
Be responsible for the general health and safety of their assigned campers
Establish an atmosphere in which campers feel secure, happy, and part of the group
Supervise campers under their immediate care at all time
Make sure their campers adhere to camp rules
Set a good example in all areas of camp life; act as a role model
Participate with their group in all camp activities
Cooperating with the Program Area Leader in matters involving rules, safety, and program
Follow through on approved curriculum plans
Share these responsibilities with other staff assigned to the same program area
Be responsible for planning and executing evening programs as needed
Camp operates from Sunday June 28 - Sunday, August 16, 2020.
Approximately (7) paid days off during the Camp season.
Full time hours including days, nights, and weekends.
Required attendance for orientation as follows:
General Staff orientation Monday, June 22-Saturday, June 27, 2020
Specialist Certification Training Dates - TBD
We will certify in Rope/Climbing Wall if the candidates are not currently certified.
Everyone has to take our course regardless of their certifications.
