BE ME AFTER SCHOOL
Be Me is the Y's in-house Jewish after school Program for Kinder to 5th-grade students. At Be Me, we are committed to instilling universal values such as enrichment, inclusion, and curiosity to learn new things. Our warm, welcoming culture creates a vibrant afterschool community, where we all look out for each other and take care of the world around us, especially for our children. Staff members are central to carrying out this vision by supporting, running, and sometimes even creating programs that are in line with our educational goals and values, and by providing positive and enthusiastic energy every day.
Only students who are already at the Y as part of our DYCD-funded Learning Labs program will participate in this program to ensure we do not mix students from different pods or cohorts. Staff will be required to abide by all of the Y's daily health and safety measures which are meant to protect students, staff, and their families. Some of these measures include temperature checks, responding to our questionnaire truthfully, and wearing a mask at all times. Please note that due to the nature of the cohorts we are serving, some Teaching Artists will be offered a 5-day position and others a 2 or 3 days-a-week position.
