The Marketing Manager is responsible for increasing awareness of, driving traffic to,
and adding value to the JCC and its offerings by translating fundraising and program
goals into effective marketing communications. The position oversees marketing of
the JCC's development (fundraising) department, as well as two other areas, the
JCC's Tween (10-13 years old) programming and Out at the J (LGBTQIA+ programs).
Work closely with the Chief Development Officer and her staff to implement
seasonal fundraising campaigns and event marketing strategy.
Develop marketing plans and timelines in tandem with directors of the
Tween and LGBTQIA+ initiatives.
Manage budgets and closely track expenditures on accounts.
Oversee development of internal and external print and electronic marketing
materials--including mailings, posters, and flyers; as well as print and digital
marketing and advertising (via email, web, social media, and Google
Work in close collaboration with internal design team and freelance
Oversee web pages and social media content for specific program account.
Track and analyze effectiveness of marketing strategies via Google Analytics
and other metrics.
Other related duties as assigned.

imagining bold new fundraising and marketing initiatives
Awareness of and aptitude for learning and integrating best practices
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Self-starter with ability to work with a team as well as independently
Out-of-the-box thinker and doer
Copywriting know-how and experience in editing, with the ability to write
creative and effective marketing copy under deadline
Meticulous organization, with ability to multi-task under pressure
Fiscally minded, with ability to manage and maintain multiple budgets
Ability to analyze/interpret data from campaign results to set (and reset)
priorities, and pivoting on strategy as needed
Sense of humor essential

- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum two years' post-collegiate experience, specifically in marketing/
communications account management at a nonprofit and/or in-house at a
company or agency environment
- Pluses: familiarity with the NYC Jewish community; background in nonprofit
