The Director of Development & Fundraising under the supervision of the Executive Director will create a structured plan for motivating donors/members and enticing new donors/members.
The Director of Development is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing all of the Katz JCCs fundraising including, the major gifts program, annual fund, planned giving, special events and capital campaigns. The Director works closely with the Executive Director and the Board of Directors in all development and fundraising events.

Work with Executive Director and Director of Finance to develop annual revenue goals and plans to diversify and increase organizational budget through a comprehensive development strategy to include foundation funders, corporate sponsors (Community Partners) and individual donors, as well as other appropriate sources.
Establish strategies to approach funders, both corporate and individuals, and develop creative ways of promoting the JCCs cases for support.
Supervise the stewardship of all spendable and endowed funds at the J, taking special care that the funds are being used at the donors intent, that the donor is being recognized and that we are soliciting new dollars into those funds.
Participate in major institutional decision-making, especially as related to development, such as setting fund raising goals and integrating development strategies into the overall mission.
Implement and grow annual major gift program as well as broadly targeted endowment contributions.
Plan for and manage capital and special campaigns, as necessary.
Identify new opportunities and support ongoing efforts in the attainment of grants from foundation and corporate sources.
Create the annual department budget, and long-term strategic development and communications plans; establishes and implements an annual calendar of fundraising and communications activities.
Develop and implement donor tracking, relationship management and reporting.
Supervise development department events.
Hire, train, supervise and lead the Development team by providing ongoing feedback, actively coaching and mentoring, management of performance to goals and identifying targeted professional development opportunities.
Work with Executive Director, board, and volunteer committees to create and implement strategic plan and vision for donor development, cultivation, and stewardship, as well as impact-driven communication, media relations, and outreach.
Collaborate with Board Members and other volunteers to support fundraising efforts for the organization.
Serves as the primary staff liaison to volunteer fundraising committees and, along with the Executive Director, communicates with the board regarding fundraising and other development activities.
Partner with Executive Director, board members and volunteers to identify, cultivate and solicit potential significant donors; supports and advises Executive Director, board, management, and staff in their development efforts.
Create reports to analyze and measure the progress towards the fundraising goals and the fundraising campaigns effectiveness. Prepare and execute fundraising plans that include major gifts programs, annual fund strategies, planned giving, and fundraising events and campaigns.

The Katz JCC operates the largest Jewish Day Camp in North America, with an annual, average enrollment of 1,600 campers. The JCC Camps is located in Medford, NJ and has exceptional facilities.
The JCC ACHaD special needs department provides social and recreational activities ranging from a basketball league to Jewish holiday celebration for both children & adults with physical and mental disabilities.
The JCC Membership serves 14,000 members that range from infants, to children and teens, to active adults to the frail elderly.
Our nationally accredited Sari Isdaner Early Childhood Department serves over 300 children in full and half day programs from infants and toddlers to kindergarten students.
Just 4 Kids After School Program serves over 100 elementary and middle-school aged children from over 20 local schools.
JCC Festival of Arts, Books & Culture brings authors, entertainers and speakers to the community. Annual attendance is approximately 10,000 people.
Sun National Bank Junior Maccabi Basketball League serves 400 children, kindergarten through 9th grade.
Senior Congregate Meal Program serves over 100 hot kosher meals to seniors 5 days per week as well as a cure for loneliness.
The Annual Sports Award Dinner attracts major professional athletes as speakers and recognizes local leaders.
