Principal Responsibilities:

The Co-Community School Director of the SAFE Program (Co-CSD), with a specialization in programming is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of Commonpoint and 21st Century Learning Center (21st CCLC) programming at John Bowne High School in Queens, NY in partnership with NYC Office of Community Schools. The Co- Community School Director is on-site at the school 5 days a week, and is responsible for management, integration, and coordination of student support services during and after school. The Co-Community School Director is responsible for arranging, coordinating, and implementing the initiative's strategies, services, and resources in consultation with the school administration and in partnership with the Co-CSD (data specialization). The Co-CSD liaises with the school administration and staff, evaluators, other Community Based Organization (CBO) partners and vendors, Office of Community Schools Program Manager, and city agencies on behalf of the initiative at the school level; participates in the development and manages the implementation of 21st Century Learning Center Plans consistent with the requirements of the grant and with the expectations of the principal. The Co-CSD supervises MSW interns and client caseloads, oversees all program staff and students, and links 21C programming to overall school mission and vision. The Co-CSD facilitates weekly meetings and direction of staff, monthly-quarterly school and guidance meetings, and meetings with stakeholders as needed. The Co-CSD (program operations specialist) will oversee the clinical supervision of MSW interns and counseling programming and outreach of all staff. All duties are in coordination with the Co-CSD (data specialization).
