Our ideal full-time Aquatics Supervisor would be responsible for the development and implementation of programming, facilities, staff, and equipment related to aquatics. Must be a Nassau County Certified Lifeguard. This position is in Nassau County (East Hills), Long Island.
  • Oversee all existing aquatics programs, including managing the summer aquatics camp program. Develop new programs and procedures.
  • Assist with developing and managing to the aquatics budget.
  • Develop and implement and aquatics marketing plan in partnership with the SJJCC Marketing team, including content for printed materials and social media platforms, website and summer camp promotions.
  • Responsible for hiring, onboarding, training, development and evaluation of all aquatics staff, including lifeguards, coaches, aquatics exercise and personal trainers.
  • Responsible for appropriate levels of scheduling for staff to ensure safety and maximize the member experience.
  • Oversee with the facilities manager in all maintenance and compliance requirements as outlined by the Red Cross and Nassau County Department of Health.
  • Support and participate the Health & Wellness committees for special events and fundraisers.
  • Conduct needs assessments or surveys to determine interest in, or satisfaction with, aquatic programs, events, or services.
  • Maintain aquatic related schedules, records, or reports.
  • Track attendance, participation, or performance data related to aquatic events.
  • Respond to member requests for information about aquatic programs or services
  • Other duties as directed by supervisor

Minimum Qualifications:




$45,000 - $55,000
