Principal Responsibilities:
Position title: Marketing and Content Assistant FLSA: Hourly/Non-Exempt/20 hours per week
DEPARTMENT: Administration LOCATION: On-Site
Reporting Relationship: Reports to the Director of Marketing
The Marketing & Content Coordinator supports the day-to-day execution of communication efforts across social media, email, and digital platforms. This role is responsible for producing and scheduling mission aligned content, maintaining organization across campaigns, and ensuring timely delivery of marketing materials across departments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create and schedule social media content across platforms (Facebook, Instagram, etc.).
- Develop graphics, captions, and basic video content aligned with brand standards.
- Monitor engagement and respond to comments/messages as directed.
- Build and schedule email campaigns using provided content and templates.
- Assist with audience selection and list segmentation.
- Maintain and update a centralized marketing content calendar.
- Gather program and event information from departments and follow up as needed.
- Create flyers, digital graphics, and simple print materials using Canva or Adobe tools.
- Adapt existing assets for multiple platforms and formats.
- Track basic performance metrics for social media and email campaigns.
- Provide regular updates on engagement and performance.
- Assist with marketing needs for events, including signage and content capture.
- This role supports execution and coordination of marketing efforts and does not include ownership of overall marketing strategy or final campaign approval.
Minimum Qualifications:
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Regularly required to talk and hear.
- Regularly required to use a computer, printer, and telephone.
- Regularly required to sit, stand, and walk.
- Occasionally required to push or pull carts and wagons.
- Occasionally required to work outside and/or in close proximity to others.
- Occasionally required to work in a noisy environment.
- Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1-3 years of experience in marketing, communications, or content creation.
- College students currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field are encouraged to apply.
- Strong writing, editing, and communication skills
- Experience with social media platforms and content creation tools (e.g., Canva, Meta Business Suite)
- Familiarity with email marketing platforms preferred
- Highly organized with strong time management skills
- Ability to work independently and follow established processes
- Experience in digital marketing, marketing databases, social media and digital marketing campaigns
- Strong writing, editing, and graphic design skills; proficiency with design and scheduling tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Mailchimp, Meta Business Suite)
- Nonprofit experience preferred
