The Graphics Studio Manager will help lead the vision and execution of the agency's visual voice, articulating our mission and values across digital and traditional marketing channels.
This role is responsible for leading the graphics team in creation and production of communications that engage our community in meaningful experiences at and with the PJCC. This includes brainstorming, conceptualizing, designing and producing on-brand visuals, and contributing to the overall agency's creative strategy.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead design team and freelancers to ensure a high vision of design. Leadership includes role modeling and managing all aspects of studio work, including production, production management, client management, and asset management. Ensure effective practice is our standard and provide individual mentorship for designers' growth and evolution.
Apply and advance established brand identity and related creative directions, ensuring consistency with brand positioning and marketing messages across multiple channels.
Evaluate creative content and copy, ensuring information and message are on-target and consistent with the marketing direction and objectives. Ability to edit copy as needed to enhance effectiveness and meet business objectives.
Apply design thinking to create world-class digital experiences across multiple platforms and channels by bringing together user needs, business goals, and technical realities.
Evaluate finished products for color consistency, photo appropriateness and quality, print and digital quality, content value, overall effectiveness, and suggest improvements as needed.
Advanced understanding of typography, color usage, branding, photo styling and selection, and design style usage.
Oversee visual merchandising for signage, displays, program-space enhancements, and interiors.
This position qualifies for a Sign-On bonus in the amount of $1000, to be paid the pay period following completion of 30 days of employment.
Bachelor's degree in graphic design or related area.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in graphic design (please provide a portfolio link showing breadth of work).
2+ years of experience leading creative teams.
A passion for design and technology, with an eye for and focus on details.
Strong knowledge of brand and creative processes and digital practices in design and communication.
Expert skills on Mac Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign, PhotoShop, Illustrator, and Lightroom. Expertise with animated or motion graphics for in-house video production and use of Premier, After Effects and Finalcut Pro.
Familiarity with WordPress required. UX/UI experience preferred. Basic HTML & CSS valued.
Expertise creating digital static and interactive ads (video and animation); as well as web graphics and beautiful online experiences.
Excellent time and project management skills and ability to deliver in a deadline-driven environment. Must be able to work independently and manage multiple projects and people simultaneously.
Thorough knowledge of pre-press processes and print production.
Knowledge of Jewish culture and/or experience working in a Jewish setting is preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills: able to take and give direction and to ask salient questions.
Desire to professionally evolve and stay current with visual design technologies and industry trends.
