Shalom Orlando is the newly merged Roth Family JCC and Jewish Federation of Greater Orlando. The Social Media Manager is responsible for bringing Shalom Orlando to life through paid, earned and owned social engagement. Located in Maitland, FL, Shalom Orlando is the center of Jewish life in Central Florida. This position is Maitland based on a hybrid work schedule.
Salary Range - $40,000 - $45,000
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Summary: Reporting to the VP of Marketing, the Social Media Manager works as part of an integrated
team and is responsible for deploying engaging social campaigns, monitoring reach and promoting user generated content in furthering the Shalom Orlando brand.

The Social Media Manager at Shalom Orlando is responsible for crafting social campaigns that lift the Shalom Orlando brand. Production-minded; able to produce great work with quality and accuracy, the position works under the guidance and supervision of the Vice President for Marketing to ensure that the resulting creative is connective and compelling, is within the brand standards, and aligns with marketing strategies, goals, and objectives.
Essential Responsibilities
Able to monitor and manage social brand presence across multiple platforms and provide "big picture" campaign conceptualization.
Able to effectively listen, problem-solve, and translate ideas into social media campaigns with consistency.
Track and analyze interactive media metrics for decision-making.
Able to work from strategy under the supervision of Marketing VP, to engage and grow conversation with appropriate voice and tone per each different platform.
Able to confidently present our institution to the public and internal community effectively, keeping digital campaigns on target, within brand standards and consistent across media channels.
Has a passion for storytelling and creativity.
Has excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a diligent eye for detail, flow, and grammar.
Understands media trends, SEO principles, influencer marketing, copyright, and free-use images.
Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, or equivalent software.
Can edit, proofread, improve content, and be involved in the QA process of all social media posts.
Has knowledge/experience with basic video editing.
Experience working with programs such as HootSuite or Sprout Social, email marketing platforms such as MailChimp or Constant Contact, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Able to multitask in a marketing environment and work well within a multidisciplinary team to keep projects on strategy and timelines.
Manage content needs for all owned and operated social channels (Paid, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok)

QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications
Degree in Communications, Design, Marketing, or equivalent education/experience.
Minimum 2 years' experience in a professional design/creative environment.

PARENTAL LEAVE POLICY:
Shalom Orlando provides leaves of absence without pay to eligible employees for any of the following reasons:
The birth of a child and to care for such child.
The placement of a child with you for adoptions or foster care and to care for the newly placed child. To care for a spouse, child or parent ("covered family member") with a serious health condition.
Eligible employees are normally granted leave up to a maximum of 12 weeks within a 12-month rolling period measured backward from the date of any leave usage.
If the initial period of approved absence proves insufficient, consideration will be given to a request for an extension. Extensions will be provided based on operational requirements and business needs. However, benefits will only be provided for the initial maximum of 12 weeks after which time the employee may apply for benefits continuation under COBRA.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, bend, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds (safety/weight belt provided, if requested). Specific vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus are required.
