Preschool Assistant Teacher - The primary role of the Assistant/Associate Teacher is to work collaboratively with the lead teacher in the classroom to support learning and the social development of the children in the program. The job includes planning and facilitating interactive play-based activities with the goal of promoting the growth and development of each child within age-appropriate curriculum areas and within the learning centers of the classroom.The lead and assistant teacher work together to promote independence, social skills and language development among the students.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Experience working with young children in a group setting.
• The ability to work within a team approach,
• Knowledge of early childhood education best practices.
• A bachelor's degree from an accredited college preferred.
• Skills in art, theater, music and literacy a plus.

Salary:

$35,000 - $45,000
