Principal Responsibilities:


Commonpoint Queens's Youth Workforce Department consists of a number of different programs serving individuals predominantly from 14-21 years old. The individual hired as the Corporate Relations Manager will be working with the Ladders for Leaders Program and reporting to the Program Director.

Program Overview:

Ladders for Leaders provides paid professional internships to NYC youth between the ages of 16 and 21. Applicants are evaluated based on academic performance, response to an essay question, and r?sum? quality. Selected applicants will undertake 20-30 hours of pre-employment training designed to teach essential workplace readiness skills and professional etiquette. Participants will then have the opportunity to interview for summer internships at a variety of companies.

Minimum Qualifications:


-Support worksite development team with responsibility for prospect research, recruitment, cultivation, and retention of targeted priority corporations.

-Use marketing strategies to grow and manage program's engagement pipeline by identifying relevant industries, corporation and organizations to target for development building efforts
-Use marketing strategies and social to engage with community members, industries and corporations for recruitment purposes ? Be accountable for job development and placement targets.
-Ability to comfortably present proposal in front of targeted audience such as high level corporate executives, community leaders, and diverse constituents
-Collect data from employers related to job orders, including job requirements and skills; match job skills with applicant qualifications; refer qualified applicants to employers, and conduct necessary follow-up when applicants are placed in positions.
-Incorporate campaign-specific efforts into the engagement pipeline as needed.
-Ensure delivery of successful program execution, including planning and continuous performance feedback.
-Maintain contact with employers during participants' employment and report results to appropriate staff; prepare forms and reports related to placement activities; track participant activity and progress through data and case notes; assist instructors in the collection of educational materials as requested.
-Build strong relationships and directly collaborate with program staff to leverage external affiliations and accomplish shared goal.
-Must be able to keep accurate detailed records of worksites which have been penetrated and will be penetrated.
-Conduct site visits to enhance relationships with employers.


-Established ability to build and cultivate relationships, and influence strategies and techniques for high level corporate executives, community leaders and diverse constituents.
-Knowledge of product marketing/sales concepts.
-Knowledgeable about native social media platforms and third-party social management tools
-Curious about new social trends and emerging platforms.
-Strong interest in working with high-achieving high school and college students.
-Outcome driven with ability to respond to changing circumstances and priorities.
-Ability to manage and motivate groups and individuals.
-Broad knowledge of the overall structure, programs, and services of the agency, including policies and procedures.
-Excellent oral and written communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
-Excellent follow up skills

-Must be a team player
-Excellent project management, strategic planning, and organizational skills.
-Demonstrate cultural competency through familiarity in working with people from very diverse backgrounds.

-Ability to analyze and integrate information from relevant sources.


Bachelor's Degree plus a preferred 3-5 years of successful experience in fundraising, corporate engagement, business development and executive relationship expansion with distinguished partners, preferably with a multi-million dollar organization.

Proficient in computer-based information systems.

Hours: Full- Time, 35 hours/week

Start Date: March 2022

Salary: $50,000 - $55,000
