We are currently offering a $1000 hiring bonus for a full-time Facilities Assistant. Bonuses will be paid after 90 days of employment. Our dynamic and community-centered organization is looking to add a talented, conscientious, and motivated Facilities Assistant to the team. The primary role of this position is to help with event setup, building maintenance, exterior needs, and be a friendly, helpful presence. The facilities assistant serves as one of the most important ambassadors for the Boulder JCC as they are interacting with and creating an inviting space for everyone who comes on site.

This position requires an affinity to work both independently and collaboratively to handle varied requests and proactively anticipate changing needs. In addition to being organized and detail-oriented, success in this position depends on your welcoming disposition, proactive approach to projects, a desire and willingness to learn new skills, and the ability to communicate effectively.


  • Perform general maintenance, restocking of supplies, landscaping, and event setup/teardown as needed
  • Interface with organizations using Boulder JCC space to assure appropriate plans for set-up and clean up are in place
  • Provide assistance to the Event and Rental Director and Facilities Director leading up to and during public and private special events
  • Supervise caterers and other service staff
  • Proactively check in with Facilities team about what needs to be done
  • Serve as a point of contact and ensure a warm, welcoming, and helpful experience for community members, event rentals, and staff
  • Continually optimize processes, including identifying best practices, and working efficiently

Minimum Qualifications:



This position works a variety of hours. While performing regular duties, you will be required to sit, stand, reach, walk, or kneel, and to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.


This is a non-exempt position with a rate range of $17 - $19/hour commensurate with experience. The benefits currently include medical and access to reimbursement account (HSA) with generous employer contributions, 403b retirement plan with up to a 4% employer match, dental, vision, disability, life, as well as paid vacation time and holidays, staff discounts, and more.
