Assistant Director of Finance

Overview The Assistant Director of Finance will help lead day-to-day finance operations, including accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reporting. The position may also be assigned to other ad hoc projects within the finance team as required.
Responsibilities: - Prepare and post general ledger entries
- Reconcile bank statements timely and accurately
- Assist in year-end audit and quarterly financial reviews
- Build and maintain reports utilizing accounting software and spreadsheets
- Assist in creating the yearly budget and projections
- Maintain general ledger
- Prepare monthly AR aging reports for all departments
- Generate ad-hoc reports as requested both internally and for other departments
- Perform year-to-year and budget-to actual variance analysis
- Act as backup to dept. team members for various functions (A/R, A/P, Payroll etc.)
- Provide support to human resource functions of the team
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and create reclass journal entries when necessary
- Track data in regards to grants and pledges
- Prepare and ensure accuracy of financial reports
- Assist departments in resolving customer account issues
- Additional duties as assigned by supervisor
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred
- At least 3 years of relevant accounting experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products, particularly Excel and Word
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical skills required
- Detail oriented
- Experience with QuickBooks Online
- Ability to multi-task and manage tight deadlines
$65,000 - $75,000
