Principal Responsibilities:
Responsibilities
- To assist the Director of Disability Services with the overseeing and development of day-to-day operations of all programs.
- To facilitate hands on training on service delivery expectations for staff working with children with disabilities
- To collaborate with the Director of Disabilities services on the development and monitoring of program billing, service plans, schedules and specialized activities for children with disabilities
- To complete monthly note reports for all OPWDD based programs? To attend and assist with the tracking of life plan meetings for OPWDD base participant
- To implement a vision for excellence to include best practices in services for individuals with disabilities
- To maintain regular, consistent, and meaningful communication with parents, staff and colleagues.
- To collaborate with managerial, administrative and direct service staff to promote agency goals and standards that include involvement with agency-wide activities and interdepartmental projects.
- Flexibility to attend to additional duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work or Special Education preferred
- A minimum of 2 - 3 years of experience in work with persons with disabilities including ASD
- Some Sundays and evenings are required
- Demonstrated ability to lead, supervise and mentor others
- Good organizational, interpersonal and written communication skills
- Passion for working as a member of a collaborative and interdisciplinary team of the Human Service field
Salary:
$55000

The role of the Assistant Director of Disability Services is to organize and maintain the quality of services available to persons with disabilities and their families at the Hebrew Educational Society. Furthermore, the Assistant Director of Disability Services will be responsible for the supervision and hands-on training of program staff.
