For over 100 years, members of the Indianapolis community have enjoyed a diverse range of services for all ages and interests at the JCC Indianapolis. We believe that now more than ever we need to continue to serve as a beacon to help our community heal and rebuild. To that end, we are fully committed to providing a safe environment for our members, staff and visitors and will be following local, state and federal guidelines as we welcome members back to the JCC.
The Safety Ambassador will play a key role in implementing health and safety procedures to ensure that safety is our top priority.This is a temporary full-time position and will report to the General Manager of Fitness & Membership and the Director of Member Engagement.
Education & Experience
The work environment is representative of a community center with frequent interaction with the general public. The pace of work is variable with the possibility of multiple requests occurring simultaneously. The physical demands of the position include sitting/standing for long periods of time and may include noise levels above average, air temperature fluctuation due to doors opening to outside frequently and limited but possible exposure to contagious illness. Work schedule will include a variety of shifts during the week and weekends so being able to work a flexible schedule is a necessity.
Saturday & Sunday between 7 am - 5 pm.
