The Springfield JCC Early Learning Center is looking to add talented, energetic, positive, honest, and dedicated Infant/Toddler teachers to our ever-growing team. Qualified candidates must be EEC certified, able to work as part of a team and build relationships with staff, children, and their families. Plan and implement, with teaching team, a daily curriculum according to developmentally appropriate practices, EEC Guidelines, Judaic curriculum and school values
Nurture physical, emotional, social, and intellectual growth and development of each child
Provide care, protection, and guidance to the children
Ensure consistency of the daily curriculum with the school values statement
Assist in the development, evaluation and revision of the Preschool curriculum
Communicate regularly with the ELC Administration, including all concerns regarding a child's progress
Participate in regular staff meetings and professional development training
Participate in ELC related social and family education programs
Monitor growth and development of each child and communicate progress and/or concerns with parents and administration
Communicate regularly with parents
Hold parent conferences as needed/requested (at least 2 per school year)
Protect the rights and privacy of children and families by maintaining strict confidentiality
Maintain a continuing dialogue with the teaching team with regard to the children and classroom environmentMust be able to stand for long periods of time, capable of lifting up to 30 pounds, able to sit on the floor and crouch down, and perform all activities with the children including running, jumping, etc.
Qualified Candidates will have:
-Infant/Toddler Teacher Certification by the Department of Early Education and Care
-Associates Degree or higher
-At least 3 years experience working in an early childhood setting.
