The Program Associate position is an opportunity for a highly motivated professional with project management skills to work as part of a dynamic team. The Program Associate will help the Programming Department turn the Moise Safra Center's programming goals into reality. The ideal candidate will have a "can do" attitude, superior project planning and time management skills, creativity, as well as the adaptability to meet the changing needs of the Moise Safra Center's members.
The Program Associate will work in-person 5 days/week. Sundays are required in person. Work is never required on Saturday. Program Associate can choose the other off day.
The Program Associate reports to the Director of Programming and will work as part of a team to turn the Center's programming goals into reality.
The Program Associate will work with the Center's staff as well as its membership to help create and design programs, events, and classes. They will also evaluate all programs for effectiveness and enrollment. They will work with the Director of Programming to hire suitable professionals and help manage hired staff to ensure that all keep to the standards and professionalism of the Moise Safra Center.
The Program Associate will also be a part of the larger Moise Safra Center team. They will work closely with the Marketing & Communications Manager as well as the Concierge team to ensure that programmatic details are communicated effectively to members on the website, app, social media streams and in person.
About the Moise Safra Center
Recently opened on 82nd Street and Lexington Avenue, the Moise Safra Center's 65,000 square foot building is a vertical campus with 12 floors with dedicated venues for social, recreational, educational, spiritual and wellness activities. The facility includes a pool, fitness center, synagogue and beit midrash, culinary, dance and yoga studios, elegant banquet space with an outdoor terrace and views of the city. The Moise Safra Center Programming Department currently offers diverse programming for all ages. For infants & young children, we offer a robust schedule of music, movement, and multi-sport classes. For school-aged children we offer many afterschool programs such as art, basketball, dance, Hebrew school, STEM, soccer, and more. For teens, we run a Zionistic Youth Movement and offer cross-over participation through many of our adult programs.
Adult programming at the Moise Safra Center is multifaceted. In addition to our Arts & Culture programming, we also have a Fitness & Wellness program that includes fitness classes, lap swim, sports clinics and leagues. The Ohel Moshe Synagogue, which is nestled within our community center, offers services, lectures, and more for the whole family.
