Principal Responsibilities:

JOB SUMMARY: To oversee all aspects of member acquisition and retention, including the implementation of a robust sale driven focus. Must possess exceptional customer experience for guests and members alike. Also responsible for the day-to-day operations of a multi-faceted department both front-facing and administratively.

ESSENTIAL JOB ROLES AND FUNCTIONS:
A. Develop and implements creative acquisition initiatives to increase membership, including but not limited to sales commission plan, community relations, and special membership events and activities
B. In conjunction with the Marketing Department, develop and implement appropriate outreach and communication with regards to membership engagement and retention as well as prospect outreach initiatives.
C. In cooperation with the assistant membership director, supervises membership administrative and Guest Services Staff
 In conjunction with the membership director, provide ongoing and annual feedback on performance, including setting goals and coaching to achieve those goals.
 Implements and maintains organizational policy and procedure.
 Assists with schedule needs
D. Monitors. executes and implements updates to all membership protocols from prospecting through termination.
 create and implement standard operating procedures for every aspect of the membership department
E. Actively work with Committee Chairs, Executive Staff and Board of Directors
 Alongside the membership director, collaborates with JCC Committee chairpeople to set membership priorities
 Alongside the membership director, provide presentations to the respective Committees, Board and to other forums regarding the Membership Services Department and its activities
F. Manages Departmental Budget
 Alongside the membership director, collaboratively develop a departmental budget to accomplish goals and objectives
 Monitors, evaluates, and makes recommendations as it relates to the membership budget
G. Operates the CRM software to maintain all records for the agency
H. Acts as a member of the agency management team

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:
Position reports to Membership Director
SUPERVISORY RESPONSBILITIES:
Position supervises the Assistant Membership Director, Membership Lead Associate and Calendar Administrator

Minimum Qualifications:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree and or minimum 5 years' experience in a sales/ management position. Must possess excellent writing skills, computer knowledge in Microsoft Office and CRM Software. Ability to multi-task in fast paced environment

Our History

The Katz JCC was established in the South Jersey Jewish community in the 1940s with facilities in Camden and Pennsauken, NJ. As the facilities grew, the services we offered expanded.
The new JCC, the building we currently reside in, opened its doors in June 1997. Located on the Weinberg Community Campus in Cherry Hill, NJ, the JCC is the central place for the entire community.
The Katz JCC is home to our award-winning, state-licensed accredited Sari Isdaner Early Childhood Center for children as young as three months. The JCC also includes a state of the art health and wellness complex that provides fitness opportunities for all ages and abilities. Our award-winning after school programs, Just4Kids and JCrew, are the destinations for children K-8th grades which offer homework help, enrichment activities, computer lab and creative arts. We are also home to two award-winning South Jersey day camps, Early Childhood Camps at the Katz JCC for children ages 2-5, and the JCC Camps at Medford for campers ages 3-14. The JCC has also become a haven for Jewish organizations, children, youth and older adults and individuals with special needs.
