Job Overview:

We are looking for a skilled and passionate chess instructor to join our Kid's Space after-school

team to deliver high quality chess instruction to children from ages 5-12 years old and different

skill levels. As a chess instructor, you will have the opportunity to share your expertise and

knowledge of the game, helping students develop their strategic thinking and problem-solving

abilities. Classes will be broken up by age groups to ensure developmentally appropriate

instruction is given.

Salary: This is a part-time position with hours ranging from 3:00-6:00 pm. This position will pay $40-$50

an hour depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities

Teach chess principles and strategies to grade-school students (K-6th Grade).
Develop and implement chess lesson plans and curriculum that align with students' abilities and goals

Assess students' progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance their learning experience.
Create a supportive and encouraging learning environment that fosters students' passion for chess.
