PJ Library (PJ as in pajamas!) is a program of the Harold Grinspoon Foundation (HGF) that began roughly fourteen years ago sending children's books that celebrate Jewish values and culture each month at no cost to families. It has grown dramatically since then and at latest count sends more than 230,000 books every month just within the United States and Canada. Close to 20 million books have been mailed since the program began. Our low barrier, welcoming and accessible programs create networks of Jewish friendship and to build micro-communities, as well as paths to Jewish life throughout Greater Boston. Families with children 0-8 years in 98 towns across Greater Boston participate in our local program.

The PJ Library Specialist is a 20 hour/week position that is part of the Family Engagement & Jewish Life department. It is the public face of PJ Library and, by extension, the JCC in the Boston community. It is a primarily administrative position that also includes some event planning and implementation. It requires familiarity with the needs and interests of families with young children. The specialist will supervise the smooth functioning and growth of the program, work collaboratively with other JCC department teams and be the key point of contact with the Harold Grinspoon Foundation (HGF).This position will maintain and develop new partnerships with other Jewish and secular local and national organizations. There will be grant development and implementation opportunities, as well.

COVID safety training is mandatory for all staff.
