The Early Childhood Director will develop and supervise the implementation of a vision of excellence for the Springfield J's early childhood programs for infants through age 5. An essential role of the Director is to implement core values, vision and purpose and to articulate these concepts with teachers and parents. The director is responsible for design and implementation of an integrated, Jewish, developmentally appropriate curriculum in an environment which maximizes the opportunities for growth and enrichment. In addition, the Director fosters a nurturing and engaging atmosphere which reflects respect and compassion that is supportive of and accessible to children, families and staff.The Early Childhood Director will:
Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education with minimum five years early childhood teaching experience. Master' degree in Early Childhood Education highly preferred; demonstrated knowledge of Jewish culture and values with previous Jewish programming experience. Minimum 3 years supervisory experience in an Early Childhood environment.
The candidate must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills, possess a passion for working with children and families, be detail oriented, adaptable and flexible, have knowledge and experience with licensing requirements.
This is a full-time exempt staff position with medical benefits, Life Insurance, and 403b option as well as JCC Membership for staff member and immediate family.
