Principal Responsibilities:

Classification: Part Time (25 hrs/week)

Reports To: Early Childhood Education Director

Summary: The Learning Community Support Specialist provides hands-on technical assistance and behavioral support to the early childhood program. The LCS Specialist acts as a mentor and resource for teachers, children, and families and provides specialized services in classroom management, early intervention, child-centered inclusive learning environments and authentic family engagement and communication. The LCS Specialist works collaboratively with the teaching faculty and Early Childhood Education Director to strive toward the overall vision and goals of Shalom Children's Center, and implements systems and practices to improve teacher retention, professional development, and program sustainability.
