Principal Responsibilities:

The Kaplen JCC on the Palisades is looking for qualified lifeguards and swim instructors to join our team for Summer 2023! The responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Ensure the safety of patrons in and around the pool
• Observing and enforcing all aquatic policies, rules and regulations
• Recognizing and responding efficiently in emergencies
• Participating in monthly staff in-services
• Providing excellent customer service
• Instructors will teach campers during instructional swim periods as per the American Red Cross guidelines
• Various shifts available- early morning, daytime and evening, Sundays - Fridays
• Other duties as assigned
• Part-time, hourly $15-20/hour

Minimum Qualifications:

• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Must hold valid Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED certification
• Swim instructors must have experience, WSI preferred
