This position oversees the programming of the Youth Sports Department at the Jewish Educational Alliance and will report to the Health and Wellness Director.
The Youth Sports Programming Coordinator is responsible for implementing and delivering various programs for the community. Programs include both micro-sports and year round offerings such as children's dance, T-ball, & soccer along other activities as well as assisting in the delivery, development, and implementation of all youth sports programs. The Coordinator will oversee the daily operations of programs, create and implement appropriate training and provide information to the public about the programs that are offered.
He/she is responsible for knowing and properly executing all JEA policies and procedures as well as marketing, organizing, and managing youth sports programs at JEA. This person is responsible for the development and cultivation of relationships with members and volunteers, as well as in the community to increase awareness of programs. The person in the position is responsible for mentoring and supporting staff and volunteers in all aspects of youth sports.
Education, Training and Experience
The Youth Sports Coordinator must possess the competence and confidence to administer the effective and quality coordination of the program. They must have the ability to cooperate and work with JEA staff to provide a quality program or product. The Coordinator must demonstrate good communication and problem solving skills along with a good understanding of the community that he/she is working with. Previous management or educational experience related to the sport management/recreational field is preferred.
Physical and/or Mental Requirements
This individual needs to be able to lift and carry at least 50 pounds. This individual may be required to stand for extended periods of time while demonstrating physical stamina and agility.
