We are looking for Group Leaders who can work in our afterschool programs at Harbor Heights MS 173, located at 306 Fort Washington Avenue, New York, New York 10033. We are looking for candidates to fill the vacant positions for the rest of the current school year 2019-2020. The successful candidates will also have the opportunity to work in the succeeding school year, and summer programs at the Y.

The Y @ Harbor Heights is a great place to jumpstart your career. Harbor Heights serves 6th to 8th-grade students who are recent arrivals from Spanish-speaking countries. The student body is 100% Latino and considered English Language Learners (ELL). Programs are focused on leadership, STEM, and academics. Students also engage in instrumentation, sports, theater, film, arts & crafts, and STEM.

As a Group Leader, you will develop your skills in academic tutoring and leading afterschool programs related to STEM, Leadership, Sports, and Arts. You will build your leadership skills and youth development expertise through Professional Development training and regular staff meetings.Your role as a Group Leader also gives you the unique opportunity to leave a lasting imprint on the lives of the students.
