Principal Responsibilities:

The Opportunity

The Kaplen JCC on the Palisades seeks an experienced fundraising professional to join our Development Team. The Assistant Director of Development  Events and Partnerships will deliver sustained contributed revenue growth from the creation and execution of innovative, scalable sponsorship agreements and corporate commitments. They will play a pivotal role in the strategy, planning and execution of special events including the annual Play Fore! The Kids Golf, Games and Tennis Classic, Sports Night of Champions, and Rubin Run for Individuals with Special Needs; as well as identifying new opportunities for fundraising, stewardship, and community events.

This role presents a unique opportunity to raise critical funds for a full continuum of community programs including early childhood education, the arts, Jewish culture, and senior services. Under the guidance of the CEO and Director of Development, the individual who takes on this role will have the opportunity to contribute to the strategy and growth of a thriving institution that has served as an important part of the community for nearly seventy-five years.

Responsibilities

Drive the long-term strategy and ensure a coordinated approach for a full calendar of major fundraisers, large-scale community events, and smaller events that steward, engage, and cultivate donor relationships.

Develop and implement a strategic sponsorship framework including prospecting, proposal development, and relationship management.

Collaborate across the development team to ensure appropriate sponsor and donor touchpoints to drive revenue and increased participation.

Provide strategic oversight of event logistics and manage relationships with external service providers.

Play pivotal role in communication and reporting for leadership, Board of Directors, committee and event chairs and other stakeholders.

Work collaboratively and manage the Special Events Associate, and undertake other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Demonstrated experience in special events management and/or corporate sponsorships with a proven record of success in strategic planning and increasing contributed revenue.

Highly organized and detail oriented with the ability to meet deadlines, work on multiple projects, and interact with lay leaders, committee members, and staff at all levels.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Excellent judgment and strong decision-making abilities.

Excellent organizational and computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite.

Previous experience with Salesforce or other CRM databases preferred.

Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as necessary.

Salary:

$75,000 - $85,000

This is a full-time position and salary is based on experience.

Some remote work for this role is possible, but the vast majority of the day-to-day must be at our wonderful facility.
