Principal Responsibilities:

LIFEGUARDS

Your primary duty as a lifeguard is to ensure and maintain safety for all patrons at the pools. You will do this by monitoring water conditions and member behavior, enforcing safety rules and paying close attention to swimmer activities and conduct. To work with us, you must have alertness and a sense of responsibility, as well as the ability to remain calm and act appropriately in an emergency. You must hold the required certifications and be 15 years of age or older.

Salary Range: $10 - $15/hr

Minimum Qualifications:

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS:

ARC Lifeguarding, ARC First Aid, CPR for the Professional Rescuer.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Perform all skills required for Lifeguard, First Aid, and CPR skills including but not limited to extractions, swimming 300 yards non-stop, and perform pool chemical checks
• Moderate physical activity requires occasional handling and maneuvering of a person in the range of 30-200lbs. using a spinal backboard.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 45 pounds
• Ascend or descend ladders and get in and out of the water
• Ability to sit, stand, lift, bend, twist
• Perform light/moderate cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, scrubbing pool walls and floor, skimming pools, and moving pool furniture
• Ability to extract and organize lap lanes

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:

• Outdoor pool/deck environment with exposure to extreme high and low temperatures, direct sunlight, and outdoor elements such as precipitation and wind; may be noisy at times
