Principal Responsibilities:
The JCC of Central NJ is looking for a positive, experienced, open-minded individual to work with our early childhood (EC), camp and afterschool programs in an operations and administrative support role. This individual must possess strong organizational, technology and communication skills. Familiarity with Department of Children and Families (DCF) licensing and American Camping Association (ACA) standards is preferred. The position is a 40 hour/week; benefit eligible, overtime exempt position. This position is supervised by the Associate Executive Director.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee, organize and implement all DCF licensing and ACA standards (including staff and children's records, compliance, COVID-19 related requirements, reporting, general oversight)
- Assume the role of DCF licensing designee with all commensurate knowledge and responsibility
- Setup and operational oversight and support of all Children's Services systems including Daxko Operations, CampSite, Class Dojo and Tadpoles
- Maintain inventory of all department technology (iPads, laptops, etc.)
- Administer staff hiring process for EC and afterschool programs in accordance with state licensing and JCC Human Resources guidelines
- Serve as liaison to Facilities Department for all Children's Services programs. Daily inspections of classrooms, organization of supplies, restocking, maintenance and deep cleaning
- Work with Operations team to ensure appropriate opening and closing of EC, afterschool and camp programs.
- Oversee daily arrival and dismissal procedures in EC, afterschool and camp
- Train EC, afterschool and camp staff as it pertains to program operation procedures (i.e.: maintenance requests, disinfecting procedures)
- Support EC Director with financial tracking and reporting
- Manage Children's Services food service
- Manage and oversee Camp towel service
Minimum Qualifications:
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to work collaboratively and effectively supervise staff
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to organize, implement and evaluate project work
- Technology-proficient
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Education and Experience:
- Minimum of a BA or BS degree preferred
- Related experience in children's programs, camping, early childhood or elementary education required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Docs
- Certification in First Aid and CPR required; must be maintained by obtaining recertification as necessary (can get this after hire date)
Physical Requirements:
- Able to be outdoors for an hour at a time to oversee arrival and dismissal process
Salary:
35,000 - 45,000
