Principal Responsibilities:


Organization: Boulder Jewish Community Center [Boulder JCC]
Job Title: Boulder Jewish Teen Initiative (BJTI) Program Coordinator, 40 hours/week
Department: Programs; Reports to the Director of Camp, Teens and Youth
FLSA Status: Non-exempt
Salary: $39,000-$41,000 based on experience
The Boulder Jewish Teen Initiative (BJTI) is searching for a dynamic and experienced
individual who can help us grow and continue the successful work we carry out
engaging Jewish teenagers. This position requires both evening and occasional
weekend work. Prior experience working with teens and group facilitation experience
is preferred. Candidates should have strong communication skills working with both
teens and their parents. This is a fast paced work environment with multiple

programs and events a week.


Relationship Building
 Establish relationships with our community's teens through BJTI programs
 Manage and grow relationships through ongoing communication (text, social
media,etc) one-on-one meetings, formal mentorship.
 Recruit new teens to our programs (including attending or participating in
community wide events)
 Build relationships with teens and identify potential future leaders
 Donor identification and working with development team to secure new
funding sources.
Program Execution and Development
1. High School Clubs: Work directly with the High School Club presidents to
create and implement programs for weekly or bi-weekly Jewish Culture
Club meetings (programs are created based on the Jewish holidays,
Judaism, Israel, Current Events/Hot Topics, etc.)
a. Attend and support high school club meetings that take place
(currently at Fairview, Boulder, Monarch, New Vista, and Dawson)
b. Oversee the purchase of all food and materials needed for clubs
c. Maintain relationships with the faculty sponsors
d. Communicate with teen club leaders
e. Create all educational materials needed such as quizzes, games,
powerpoints, etc.
f. Support the club leadership's iImplementation of the
educational plan
g. Expansion to new schools
2. 8th Grade Program & 9th Grade Program: Manage weekly sessions
(Tuesday evenings)
a. This includes setup/breakdown, facilitation, coordination with
outside facilitators, curriculum generation, participant
management and follow up with families
b. Recruitment and outreach for future program cohorts
3. Teen Advisory Board: A monthly meeting for student leaders from the
clubs to learn and practice leadership skills and collaborate with each
other to create programming. You will also support the Social Program
4. School Break Camp: Support the school break camp program, roughly
once a month for kids 5-12 years old.
5. Afterschool programs: Your support may be needed to support our
afterschool programs for kids.
6. LIT program for JCC Day camp: Develop program for counselors in
training for camp. Recruit teens to participate. Working with camp
leadership, manage the training and camp experience for teens.
Communication and Marketing
 Work with the Marketing Team to keep BJTI website up-to-date Jewish Teen
events from across Boulder. Have an active and engaged BJTI presence on
social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Google Hangouts, and
Groupme) to promote all BJTI events, and to stay connected with the teens on
a regular basis. Send out a monthly newsletter advertising upcoming BJTI and
partner events
 This position may require you to select, train and supervise all facilitators to
provide additional support and areas of expertise for the NaviGate and
ReFresh program.
 Additional support may be needed to fully engage our high school clubs. You
will find, train and support those facilitators or internal staff people.

Minimum Qualifications:


 Reliable personal transportation
 Available on Tuesday evenings until 8 pm
 Organized and detail oriented
 Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
 Proficiency or fast learner in software such as Google Apps for Work, Microsoft
Office Suite, Instagram, Facebook, and marketing platforms (SalesForce,
 Flexible schedule
 Ability to multi-task and synthesize information about multiple ongoing
projects in an articulate, concise manner
 Ability to work independently and collaboratively
