The Boulder JCC Bookkeeper reports to the Senior Director of Finance. This position is responsible for performing daily accounting activities to maintain the organizations financial books and records. This role requires excellent communication and a highly personable approach to people, as well as the ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding all areas of the job. This will be full-time with some flexibility in terms of schedule.

Day-to-Day Accounting

  • Perform day-to-day accounting functions to support GAAP-compliant financial management processes
  • Enter and prepare accounts payable
  • Process and record approved expenses
  • Create and manage approved invoices for Program, ECC, and other revenue streams
  • Manage petty cash account, reconcile, and record
  • Assist in processing deposits, as needed
  • Collaborate on processing ECC enrollment registration and billing
  • Provide email and phone support to customers regarding their account balances, payment history, and online account setup
  • Prepare for bank reconciliation and process any changes provided by Senior Director of Finance
  • Create and maintain other reporting tools which support accounting processes, as needed
  • Assist with monthly and quarterly financial close
  • Manage the annual 1099 preparation process at year-end

Records Management

  • Maintain accounting records in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
  • Copying, scanning, filing, and special projects as assigned by Senior Director of Finance
  • Support and monitor adherence to all BJCC financial and operating policies


  • Meet regularly with Senior Director of Finance to ensure continuity and timeliness of information
  • Provide support to the Senior Director of Finance on other accounting and finance related projects, as needed
