North Peninsula Jewish Campus (NPJC) is seeking an experienced Director of Facilities, who is responsible for directing, maintaining, and enhancing the value and operations of a 12-acre campus with 300,000 square feet facilities, which composes two major community facilities - Peninsula Jewish Community Center (PJCC) and Wornick Jewish Day School (WJDS) The PJCC is a multi-purpose and elaborate facility including a fitness center, three pools, large gymnasium, early childhood education center (preschool), camps, afterschool program, turf fields, playgrounds, classrooms, and conference rooms. WJDS is a K-8 independent, private school with classrooms, multi-purpose rooms, and playgrounds.
The Director of Facilities directs and manages all facilities - physical improvements, vehicles, maintenance, and repairs. The position supervises a team of a Facility Manager, who is responsible for daily operations of basic maintenance, and room setups and rentals with a team of six facilities workers. The position is an employee of the PJCC, although serves the entire campus and its associated organizations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include and not limited:
Strong project management experience in the construction, facility management, maintenance and repair fields; ability to effectively manage all trades, and mechanically minded and inclined; extensive experience in managing, developing, and evaluating effective performance, relationships, and teamwork with staff, vendors, contractors, and multiple constituencies; familiarity and knowledge of local permitting and regulatory processes, contracting and bid development and negotiating processes, and principles of workplace security and safety; proven successful decision maker and independent judgment; effective planning and organizing work activities, timelines, goals and objectives; balance work and personal life to be available to respond to emergencies and incidents on a 24/7 basis as needed; ability to develop and execute budgets and cost-conscious measures; effective and timely written and oral communications to various constituents; and ability to work effectively in a technology (such as workorder system, email and calendaring, project management, and Salesforce database).
