Master's degree in Social Work, Gerontology, Community Organizing or a related discipline with a minimum of three years managerial experience, preferably in a non-profit, human services organization.
Strong organizational, interpersonal, writing, and computer skills. Fluency in English and Russian.
The Shorefront YM-YWHA of Brighton-Manhattan Beach, Inc. builds community, strengthens families and empowers individuals to achieve their potentials and enhance their quality of life by providing a wide range of programs and services rooted in Jewish traditions and values to meet the evolving needs and interests of the Brooklyn community. The Shorefront Y's Neighborhood Naturally Occurring Retirement Community (NNORC) Program provides social work and nursing services, educational and recreational activities, as well as opportunities for volunteering and community engagement to senior citizens (60 years of age and older). The program serves older adults residing in a designated area within Brighton Beach in south Brooklyn and seeks to enhance their quality of lives, promote aging in place, and reduce unnecessary hospitalizations/nursing home admissions.
