Principal Responsibilities:
The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for the financial processing of transactions for the organization, using accounting software applications to handle vendor management, proper expense allocation, and the ability to track due dates to ensure payments are made on time.
The Accounts Payable Specialist is part of the Accounting Team and this flexible full-time position reports to the Director of Finance.
Accounts Payable
- Ensure timely processing and payments of invoices
- Organize and maintain the accounts payable system
- Post credit card charges and reconcile credit card account on monthly basis
- Ensure department heads approve all purchases and turn in invoices in timely manner
- Communicate with vendors regarding any billing issues
- Deposit all monies received and posted by Accounts Receivable Specialist and Front Desk in timely manner
- Process and maintain 1099 statements
- Take initiative to improve efficiency and operations of position working alongside Director of Finance
Monthly Responsibilities
- Review bank statements to ensure all auto draft and recurring payments are in accounting system
- Work with Accounts Receivable Specialist on inter-agency billing
- Make end of month cash deposit
- Assist in preparation of financial reports
Special Events
- Assist with check-in at the event and and other assignments as necessary
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in accounting with relevant work experience
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving skills and work ethics
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Daxko experience a plus
Salary:
$35,000 - $45,000
