Principal Responsibilities:
This is an exciting position which involves working with both CSN and the Center for Family Life.
CSN is seeking a Teen Coordinator, which will involve a mix of community building, program development, working with families and administrative work all while supporting teens with disabilities and their families.
The Center for Family Life is seeking a tween program coordinator who will develop and lead a multitude of tween programming, including community service opportunities and recreational and Jewish programs. The Tween Coordinator should be able to empathize with the tween experience and work to create fun, meaningful, and inclusive spaces for all tweens to thrive.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serve as first point of contact and conduct intake conversations for all new families
- Manage ongoing family communication and referrals as needed
- Develop and maintain relationships with teens and teen families
- Create innovative and responsive programming for teens
- Provide administrative support and manage budget codes with help from supervisor for all teen programming
- Facilitate select tween programs and ensure consistency throughout all in person and online tween programs
- Supervise part time staff and task supervise social work interns
- Collaborate effectively across CSN communities and JCC departments
SALARY/HOURS:
Full time, Four weekdays and Sundays with flexibility to staff evening programs
Minimum Qualifications:
- College degree required
- Masters or working towards a Masters' degree in Social Work or related field preferred
- Have previous experience working with kids, teens, or adults with developmental and/or intellectual disabilities
- Have previous experience leading youth programming
- Develop and maintain relationships with tweens and teens and their families
- Have a strong work ethic and the ability to work closely with supervisors as well as independently
- Have strong organizational and communication skills to manage program logistics and part time staff
- Be engaging, thoughtful, creative and flexible when supporting or leading programming
- Be able to work some evenings and weekends
We prefer that applicants:
- Have experience teaching and/or reinforcing social skills
- Have experience presenting information in multiple modalities
- Have previous experience developing or leading creative curriculum
- Have previous experience working with youth of all abilities
