Facilities Director Job Description
The I.J. & Jeanne Wagner Jewish Community Center is seeking a seasoned hands-on Facilities Director to direct the physical operations of our 97,000 Square foot 7-acre campus. The Facility Director will create a safe, welcoming, efficient work environment, improves organizational performance and optimizes staff productivity. An overview of the Facilities Directors core responsibilities includes staff leadership and development, collaboration, coordination and support of department directors and executive team members. The Facilities Director will have management experience in coordination and implementing policies for safety and security procedures, engaging with vendors and contractors, minimizing hazards, preparing facilities budgets and monitoring expenditures, development of preventative and predictive maintenance programs, coordinating refurbishment initiatives, testing equipment, forecasting building capital needs. Excellent skills in managing facilities and directing facility functions will assist our organization in minimizing disruptions to overall business operations, improving working conditions, and creating a safe and comfortable environment for both staff and JCC members.
The ideal candidate for this role should possess good communication skills, excellent organizational skills, broad knowledge of business functions, and project management experience. The Director of Facilities must understand the technical aspects of building mechanical/electrical and plumbing (MEP) systems, support day to day business operations, ensure efficient operation of facilities, mitigate risk, and ensure that facilities meet the needs of members and staff.
The starting salary will be $70K+ depending on experience.
