Principal Responsibilities:

Overview: Candidate for this position needs to be able to work well with children, has knowledge of physical education, highly motivated and has experience with teaching children

General Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare and monitor class participants.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of the area of expertise being taught. ? Ability to correctly perform and teach proper skills safely.
• Create a safe environment for all participants.
• Attend annual staff training and bi-annual all staff meetings.

Teaching Responsibilities:

• To encourage all students to:
• Develop physical skills, leadership skills, responsibility & physical fitness o Encourage lifetime participation and build self esteem
• Provide safe, enjoyable games and activities
• Learn how to complete and cooperate
• Motivate all students
• Use classroom management program

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Education/Experience:

• Bachelors degree in area of expertise or certified in related field ? Taught children in a professional setting for 500 hours or more ? Must be certified in CPR and First Aid.

Teaching Requirements:

• Dress in a professional appearance
• Work professionally with supervisor to create the best experience for each student
• Keeping instructions educational
• Working to create a successful long term relationship with school staff, parents and students
• Set up 15 min before class begins

Performance Expectations:

• Greet all students by name and in a friendly manner.
• Be an enthusiastic ambassador of the JCC.
• Report all needed repairs, and needed equipment to run a program to your supervisor.
• Begin and end class on time.
• Attend staff meetings.
• Work as a team member to maintain a high quality of care giving. ? Provide excellent customer service to JCC members, guests, and staff by adhering to the JCC Core Values.

• Vision
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
