Principal Responsibilities:

The Owner's Representative serves as the Mandell JCC's primary representative in the planning and execution of capital construction and renovation projects. The position is responsible for protecting the JCC's financial, operational, contractual, and programmatic interests; providing independent oversight of architects, contractors, consultants, and vendors; monitoring project budgets, schedules, quality, and scope; and identifying issues and recommending solutions before they affect cost, schedule, or operations. The Owner's Representative will work closely with the President/CEO, Operation's Director, COO, Senior Leadership, architects, contractors and designated lay leadership. This is a project-based position anticipated to continue through the active capital construction period.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or a related field

Experience: Minimum 7 years' experience in hands-on construction or project management

Deep understanding of construction contracts, contractor quotes, local building code, permit processes

Strong negotiation skills and demonstrated ability to stay within budget

Strong objective technical judgement

Salary:

$55,000 - $65,000
