The Milton and Betty Katz JCC is seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist. This position will be shared with Jewish Family Services (JFS), working up to 10 hours a week at the JCC and 30 hours a week at JFS. The Human Resource Generalist will run the daily functions of Human Resources for JCC, including full cycle recruitment, employee relations, employee engagement, benefits, leave, administering company policies and practices and more.

We are looking to employ an HR Generalist with outstanding analytical and communication skills. An HR generalist is expected to be a conceptual thinker with fantastic organizational and conflict management skills. You will have excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills with the ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Functions:

• Full cycle recruitment, new hire onboarding and orientation
• Plan, coordinate, and promote employee engagement events and employee recognition programs
• Organize and assist with annual and introductory performance evaluations, tracking and review with department
• Attendance, payroll, benefits, and general inquiries. Assist with resolving any discrepancies with Human Resources & Payroll
• Oversee leave of absences and worker compensation
• Attends and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, employee relations, investigations (when applicable), and terminations
• Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance
• Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law
• Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required
• At least three (3) years of Human Resources experience as an HR Coordinator or Generalist

Salary:

$55,000 - $65,000
