Pay rate: $15-$16/hr depending on experience and credentialsThe PRE-K SCIENCE INQUIRY & NATURE SPECIALIST works closely with preschool teaching teams to provide developmentally-appropriate daily group activities, lessons, and play opportunities that promote a culture of inquiry, care and responsibility for the natural world, and hands-on experiences. The specialist builds a community of learning with a group of children through the school year and builds lesson plans based on child-led interests, natural cycles and observations. This is a 12-month, all-weather position. We strongly believe that all educators of all positions, skill levels, experiences, and backgrounds have a sacred responsibility to build a community of peace alongside our youngest children. Even though the nature of this important work with children demands intentionality, flexibility, and attention, this is a job in which we want you to slow down, bring your authentic self, and be fully present.
