We are currently seeking a Director of JFS to join Greater Santa Barbara and Ventura County Jewish Family Service counseling team. This full time position is responsible for leading a team of clinical service providers of mental health counseling to clients of all ages. This position will serve members of the Jewish community of Greater Santa Barbara, Ventura County and members of the communities at large. JFS is committed to cultivating and preserving a culture of inclusion and connectedness. Recipients of services are people impacted by poverty, trauma, and mental illnesses such as depression and anxiety. This position oversees the clinical team of general mental health counselors.

This position will be responsible for direct supervision of JFS's clinical professional team in two locations, oversight of case management, the coordination of the intake and billing processes.

Duties include but are not limited to oversight of the intake process and referral assignment, oversight of all aspects of care management activities, orientation, and onboarding of new care management staff, ongoing clinical supervision, review of progress notes, assessments, care plan and other required CDA documentation in the Electronic Health Record system and managing third-party billing service activity.

Minimum Qualifications:

Qualifications:

• Licensed for minimum 2 years as an LCSW or higher
• Current unrestricted CA Drivers License and proof of auto insurance
• Minimum of 3 years of successful clinical, supervisory, and administrative experience
• Qualified to supervise Trainees and Associates in CA per BBS requirements
• Strong organizational and planning skills to manage multiple priorities and meet required deadlines
• Management skills necessary to attract and maintain a highly effective and motivated staff
• Ability to supervise professionals and implement complex regulations with attention to detail
• Ability to exercise strong clinical judgment and work independently with minimal supervision
• Knowledge of community resources and issues of aging
• Experience in care management and community-based service delivery with older adults
• Knowledge of safety issues when working with at-risk participants
• Experience with Electronic Health Records systems desired
• Must be computer literate in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Demonstrated ability to work in an interdisciplinary community setting maintaining appropriate professional boundaries
• Culturally sensitive and non-judgmental in working with a multicultural client population
• Must pass a criminal background check prior to beginning employment

Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

• Supervision of all case management activities, including assessment, care planning, and interventions
• Monitoring caseloads to ensure client safety and program compliance
• Maintaining a caseload of patients providing clinical services for an average of 5-8 hours per week
• Ensuring that private insurance and Medicare patients are billed for services in a prompt and compliant manner
• Review of referrals and case assignments in the Electronic Health Record system
• Weekly clinical supervision of care management
• Implementation of CDA documentation requirements
• Responsible for quality assurance of the program, including ongoing review of electronic records and client charts, to ensure documentation complies with CDA regulations
• Participation in program management and policy-making
• Participation in program outreach to identify and build relationships with social service and behavioral health providers in the service area
• Crisis intervention as needed
• Supervision of student interns as needed
• Other related duties as assigned

Salary:

$75,000 - $85,000
