The Edlavitch DC Jewish Community Center (EDCJCC) is a vibrant center for Jewish life and community engagement in downtown Washington, DC. We are excited to grow our development team with the addition of a full-time Development Manager who will help advance our important work in social responsibility, inclusion, family life, and beyond.
The Development Manager will drive donor and prospect identification and cultivation for many of the EDCJCCs programs, including but not limited to the EDCJCCs Preschool; the Morris Cafritz Center for Social Responsibility; Jewish Life & Learning; and Inclusion & Disabilities. The Development Manager will leverage existing programmatic activity in these areas to identify those with interest and capacity, build relationships with prospects, and solicit gifts to support our important work.
Serving as a member of the Institutional Advancement team, the Development Manager will be the teams lead for a series of donor appreciation and cultivation events each year.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
Full-time, salaried/exempt opportunity. General hours are Monday Thursday, 9:00 AM 5:00 PM and 4:00 PM on Friday. Occasional evening/weekend hours required. This person is required to work at the EDCJCC (in-person) three times per week.
The Development Manager will report to the Senior Director of Institutional Advancement.
Salary and Benefits
$60,000 - $65,000, commensurate with experience. The Edlavitch DCJCC offers a generous benefits package, including, membership at the EDCJCC, health/dental/vision, life/STD/LTD, voluntary accident and hospital, FSA, 401k retirement plan, sick and vacation leave, most Jewish and federal holidays and more.
