Principal Responsibilities:


JCC Association is seeking an experienced, qualified and detail-oriented professional to serve as our full-time Director of Conferences and Events. Reporting to the Chief Development Officer (CDO), this role will lead the planning and successful execution of a varied portfolio of JCC Association conferences, meetings and events ranging from small gatherings in our NYC headquarters to large conferences of JCC professionals and lay leaders held across the U.S. and Canada.

The Director of Conferences and Events will partner with JCC Association staff and lay committees to execute 12-15 meetings and 2-3 large conferences per year. Responsibilities include oversight of the overall timeline and planning, programming and coordinating with staff, meeting program committees, logistics, budget, hotel and contractor negotiations. This position will be responsible for post-meeting analysis to identify best practices to improve the conference and events experience, manage expenses, find new budgetary efficiencies and increase attendance.

Successful candidates will have 7-10 years of experience executing small and large meetings and conferences, with a proven track record of innovative conference planning and successful budget management.Experience planning events in several markets a plus, and nonprofit experience preferred.
