Principal Responsibilities:

The Mandel Jewish Community Center of Cleveland seeks an inspirational leader to articulate and implement a vision of excellence for the Agencys early childhood programs which serve infants through age 5. An essential role of this position is to implement The Js core values, vision, and purpose and to communicate these concepts with teachers, parents, and community stakeholders. The Director will foster a nurturing and engaging atmosphere which reflects respect and compassion that is supportive of and accessible to children, families, and staff in an environment which maximizes the opportunities for growth and enrichment. The Director is responsible for the design and implementation of an integrated, Jewish, and developmentally appropriate curriculum for the Preschool, Family Place, Playland Summer Camp, and the Early Childhood Educational Garden.

Minimum Qualifications:

REQUIREMENTS:
 Bachelors Degree in early childhood education and/or family development.
 Masters Degree in early childhood education is preferred.
 Minimum of 5-10 years of experience teaching in early childhood education.
 Minimum of 3 years of experience managing an early childhood program or child care center.
 Demonstrated proficiency with computer software including MS Word, Excel, Publisher, and Outlook.
 Strong written and verbal communication skills and customer-service orientation with specific strength in diplomacy and discretion strongly preferred.
 Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
